Rogan came into the world with a mother who was an extremely talented pianist and teacher. However most of his time as young adult involved sports. Only after injuries forced him to retire from sports later in life did his background in music flourish.

As a drummer, guitarist, singer and piano player, he naturally gravitated towards writing his on music. Now he writes for other artists and publishers. He also taught his wife to play guitar and they regularly play out together as The Sundreamers. Most of the music he writes is southern rock and country. It's just in his blood growing up in rural South Carolina.
